Reducing Costs
Pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline is using Fenestrae® Faxination® Server, a combined email/fax solution that reduces costs by delivering faxes at specified times. It was integrated with the company's existing messaging system, Microsoft® Exchange.

Fenestrae Faxination Server substantially reduces transmission costs at the company as it enables faxes to be programmed for delivery during off-peak hours and for bundles of faxes to be sent to the same destination.

Ray Wise, senior consultant, GlaxoSmithKline, says:
"Costs are down because of time-savings and reduction in paper associated with traditional faxing.  Our users can deal with all their messages from one interface, which translates into time savings. There is rapid investment payback in better administration, security and support. No additional training was required, which is a definite plus that cannot be overlooked."

No training required
Leading German bank, Dresdner AG, is using Fenestrae Faxination Server to streamline communications between traders and customers.

Hermann-Josef Müller, communications team leader, middle office, Dresdner Bank AG, says: "We required a system that would save time and was intuitive to use. Dresdner Kleinwort Benson Global Markets is using Fenestrae Faxination Server to help automate the way traders and sales people are sending faxes to customers. The program does not involve new client software, which is important. Fenestrae Faxination Server is totally transparent to the user and closely integrated into our standard Microsoft Exchange client and administration system. We have the fax solution we wanted."

Rapid ROI
Almost 1,000 corporate end-users at Texaco Benelux are using Fenestrae Faxination Server as an integrated email/fax solution. The company uses two fax-servers - one in Brussels, the other in Rotterdam - and six telephone lines. Return on investment was achieved within ten months.

F Lieven Van de Velde, telecom and LAN supervisor, Texaco Benelux, says: "The savings were immediately noticeable. Email destinations are listed in public and private address books and can be any e-mail user, fax or telex-destination. The distribution list in the email system allows us to send faxes to multiple destinations, with or without internal copies, and from any computer system, including Texaco's mainframes."

Confirmations in real time
Aventis is a leading pharmaceutical product innovator. Today, the company is using Fenestrae Faxination Server to send order confirmations and other communications to 90,000 globally-dispersed employees. The interoperability of Fenestrae Faxination Server makes it ideal for environments using both Windows and Unix operating systems.

Aventis uses Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio and Adobe as productivity tools, combined with an SAP/R3 system for effective resource planning and management. Documents such as order confirmations, invoices and reminders can be faxed directly from SAP®.

Andrea Westrich, global email administrator, Aventis, says: "Fenestrae Faxination Server improves person-to-person communication by delivering documents directly to and from the users desktop. To make this process even more seamless we configured the delivery notifications for the faxes sent from SAP to be delivered directly to the users Exchange inbox and
instead of back to SAP."
