Wim de Koning
Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Wim G. de Koning is founder and chief executive officer of Fenestrae. Responsible for Fenestrae's overall global strategy and operations, he drives product development and marketing.
De Koning, who founded Fenestrae in 1990, has more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry. Recognized as a visionary within the industry, he is often invited to speak at international IT conferences hosted by organizations including Microsoft, IBC and IIR. De Koning also acts as an advisor to leading IT companies.
Prior to founding Fenestrae, de Koning held several positions in software development, software engineering and marketing consultancy. He has a Bachelor's degree in marketing.
Eric van Beek
Vice-president of International Sales
Van Beek's key responsibilities include defining and driving Fenestrae's worldwide sales strategy to increase revenue in key markets and enhance partner relationships. He is also a member of the management team at Fenestrae.
Van Beek joined the company in February 2002 with 17 years' experience in IT sales. Prior to joining Fenestrae, he was at Firepond Benelux. Here he held a number of senior positions including sales director, managing director Western Europe and vice-president technology and telecoms, EMEA. During his time at Firepond, he was responsible for signing several global multi-million dollar deals and gained experience of working across international markets.
Van Beek has also held several management positions at SuperNova International, Exact International, Getronics and IBM.
As well as his native Dutch, he speaks French, Italian, German and English. In his spare time Van Beek enjoys cycling and playing tennis. He holds a degree in economics.
Jacques van Wijk
Vice-president of Development
Jacques van Wijk is vice-president of development at Fenestrae. As a member of the management team, he is responsible for research & development of new products and solutions.
Van Wijk joined the company at the start and has held executive positions in consulting and development. He has played a key role on several projects with international companies, where he developed different network technologies, customised business processes and wrote bespoke applications.
He has been instrumental in Fenestrae's product development, and was appointed development manager in 1994 and director of research & development in 1998. Van Wijk has been responsible for Fenestrae's software products from day one and was responsible for the design and development of Fenestrae Faxination Server.
Philip Weijer
Co-founder and Vice-president Customer Relations and Legal
Philip Weijer is responsible for key customers worldwide and all legal affairs within the company. He is also involved with the operational aspects of translating company goals into concrete milestones, especially regarding the services and products Fenestrae brings to market. He has been closely involved in the operational development of the company since its origin.
Prior to co-founding Fenestrae, he worked as a contractor for a number of large Dutch multinationals integrating the PC network environments into corporate infrastructure and culture. Weijer has held positions at Transavia Airlines where he was involved in defining internal requirements and translating those to operational IT systems and solutions. He also held a position as a researcher at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam in a major research project.
Philip Weijer holds a masters degree in law from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He is bilingual in Dutch and English.
