MFP Connector
Multifunction Peripheral (MFP) devices that scan, copy, print, and fax, are a common appearance in businesses of any size. MFPs introduce cost savings and productivity opportunities, but also create new maintenance, administrative and compliance challenges. Integrating your MFP devices with Fenestrae software allows you to leverage least-cost routing through fax-over-IP or remote fax servers/devices. In addition, this integration provides a central archival repository in for example Microsoft SharePoint or SQL server for all sent and received messages regardless of the origination point, covering the need for secure filing.
The Fenestrae MFP Connector is used as an interface between one or many MFP devices and the Fenestrae Server. It allows you to send fax messages from the MFP via Fenestrae Communication Server. Delivery notifications can be sent back to the MFP or delivered directly into the user’s mailbox. Incoming messages can be delivered (printed) to an MFP and/or delivered simultaneously to a mailbox, public/shared folder or distribution list. In the near future Fenestrae will deliver functionality for MFP devices to automatically scan documents into the relevant SharePoint folder.
Supported MFPs
The Fenestrae MFP Connector supports multifunction peripherals from HP, Xerox, OCE and Ricoh out of the box. The connector is extensible, allowing for similar devices from other manufacturers to be supported as well.
