Why don't you virtualize your fax and sms environment?
Server virtualization allows you to consolidate all of your servers on a fraction of the hardware you are currently using: a typical ratio is 6-8 virtual servers on a single machine.
By consolidating their server infrastructure, organizations are looking for ways to improve the utilization of their hardware, local skilled resources and reduce carbon dioxide emissions (server consolidation). One solution is the introduction of virtualization. Under virtualization, a single physical server can run multiple virtual machines, making full use of the available processor, memory, and storage resource capacity.
Fenestrae supports virtualization environments with its Windows Server 2008 certified Fenestrae Communication Server 2010.
All of the Fenestrae server and host components can run within a virtual environment along with the software-only device components such as Fenestrae Fax over IP, Brooktrout SR140, and network protocol-based SMS and MMS services.
In some case the Fenestrae software uses third party software or hardware (such as fax interface boards) for sending the SMS or fax message. The vendors of third party products with which the Fenestrae products interact publish their own compatibility statements on virtualization.
